Mrs Jennifer Hobbs
Assistant Headteacher – Primary
Jennifer Hobbs is a dedicated and experienced Assistant Headteacher with 16 years of experience in education across the UK and UAE. Since joining Sunmarke in 2023, Jenny has taught in Year 5 and served as Head of Year 3, where she successfully led teaching and learning, staff development and improvements in student outcomes. Prior to joining Sunmarke, she held a range of senior leadership roles in the UK, including Team Leader, subject leadership and supporting teaching and learning across schools in Plymouth and Devon.
Jennifer holds a BA (Hons) in History and a PGCE in Primary Education from the University of Plymouth, as well as the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL). She is also a qualified Senior Mental Health Lead and has extensive experience in curriculum design and development, assessment, coaching and mentoring, and research-informed approaches to teaching and learning.
Jennifer is passionate about creating a coherent, ambitious and inclusive curriculum that enables every child to thrive. She believes strongly in developing and empowering staff, building positive relationships with pupils and families, and creating a culture where high expectations, wellbeing and a love of learning sit at the heart of school life.
